Tired of constantly running out of episodes of your favorite TV series? I feel you, really. But then, while you’re waiting for your favorite tv series, there’s a couple of other TV series you might want to check out.
American Horror Story Coven (Horror, Anthology, Thriller)
Created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk
For each season this series takes up stories from different legends and myths. My personal favorite is “Coven”, season 3. It takes place in New Orleans, Louisiana. It tells the secret history of witches and witchcraft in America. Young girls are being sent away to a special school in New Orleans to learn how to protect themselves. If psychological horror/mystery is your thing, I really recommend this series because it’s very exciting and of course, creepy!
Shadowhunters (Fantasy, Romance)
Created by Ed Decter
Clary Fray has just enrolled at Brooklyn Academy of Arts. On her eighteenth birthday, she learns that she is a Shadowhunter, a human born with angelic blood who protect humans from demons. Clary begins a journey of self-discovery as she learns more about her past and what her future may hold. Based on a best seller novel by Cassandra Clare, “The Mortal Instruments”. It is a separate franchise from the movie City of Bones, with a different setting and a different cast.
Dexter (Psychological Thriller, Drama, Mystery)
Created by James Manos, Jr.
Based on a novel by Jeff Lindsay, “Darkly Dreaming Dexter”. Through Dexter, you can know what’s inside of a psychopath, and watch a crime drama where the entire series focuses on the criminal himself. But I wouldn’t recommend it if you can’t stand the sight of blood, because obviously, there’s a lot of blood.
Riverdale (Teen Drama, Mystery)
Created by Roberto Aguire-Cassara
The new school year is haunted by the mysterious death of Jason Blossom, but Archie Andrews (KJ Apa) has his own problems: a damaged friendship with Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse), the end of his relationship with music teacher Ms. Grundy, and singer Josie McCoy (Ashleigh Murray) doesn’t want to help him with his music. Betty Cooper’s (Lili Reinhart) crush on Archie could be an issue between her new friend Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes), who just moved to Riverdale. And then there’s trouble from Jason’s twin sister Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) in Greg Berlanti’s live-action, present-day adaptation of the popular comic series. It is an addictive tv show, and when you begin watching, it is impossible to stop! The remake uses darker theme than the original comics, but it is good all the same.
Breaking Bad (Drama, Suspense)
Created by Vince Gilligan
Long story short, it’s about a chemistry teacher who decided to start a Meth lab, to secure the teacher’s family financial future, before he dies of lung cancer. He partnered up with his former student, and together they sell crystallized meth. No words can describe it better, than different, edgy, and a challenging tv series.
